DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and construction of utility infrastructures, such as manholes, sewer lines, drains and other assets. Cleans and inspects utility equipment such as basins, pumps, meters, sewers, regulators, generators, and other equipment. Assists in completing appropriate paperwork regarding work activities. Operates various equipment in the maintenance and cleaning of utility infrastructures, such as TV Cameras, vactors, flushers, diggers, etc. Assists other plan and utility staff with operations, repairs, and related maintenance. Inspects the grounds and equipment of pump, septage, and meter stations and related facilities. Maintains and prepares vehicles and equipment for daily operations. Performs a variety of manual labor in the maintenance of NBC grounds and facilities, such as shoveling snow and assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment. Performs other duties of similar nature or level. Considered an essential personnel position, expected to report for duty under all weather conditions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, or G.E.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s license in good standing. Must obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B with Tanker endorsement within one year of appointment. This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to meet Federal DOT requirements.
