EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must have graduated from an accredited four-year technical college degree program in civil/environmental engineering or equivalent. Applicants with two to five years of experience in construction, environmental and/or civil engineering are preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires a thorough knowledge of engineering principles, techniques and procedures as applied to sanitary engineering, hydraulics and construction management. Familiarity with engineering software programs such as AutoCAD and GIS. Proficient with Office software products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interactions with coworkers, supervisors, the public and others to sufficiently convey information. Excellent written skills and attention to detail to prepare accurate and concise reports. Must be able to read design plans and specifications for constructability and completeness.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate NBC vehicles.
